Location, location, location. While the old joke that these are the three most important considerations in real estate, the fact of the matter is that we do have a market area that we consider our specialty. Here is a deeper dive into the locales where we buy houses.
Westchester County: We serve all communities in the 914 area code. Yonkers to Yorktown, Pelham to Peekskill, there is no community in the county that we aren’t considerably familiar and experienced with. It doesn’t hurt that out principal lives in Westchester.
Putnam County: Putnam is a considerably smaller county than Westchester, only 6 towns and about 100,000 in population. We consider Putnam to be our back yard, and our Carmel office location is right on Route 52 by the lake.
Dutchess County: We love Dutchess County. It’s considerably larger than Putnam, the first county to the south, and has everything from horse farms to denser cities like Poughkeepsie and Beacon. We have closed on more than 100 transactions here, and it remains a staple of our focus.
Rockland County: Rockland is like Putnam with a smaller geographic footprint, but it is has a far larger population and thus more housing stock. It’s one bridge crossing away from Westchester, and has been part of our day to day business since 2005.
Orange County: We’ve transacted in Orange County regularly since 2005. Since people who are priced or taxed out of Westchester and Rockland see it as an attractive option, it has kept us busy for many years. The OC of New York has a wide range of housing stock and communities, and it’s always a pleasure to do business here.
Fairfield County: We’ve been licensed in Connecticut since 2007 and with good reason, Fairfield county is only two towns over, and the fact that it’s a different state is just a detail. New Fairfield is right next to Brewster. Ridgefield is neighbors with North Salem. Greenwich is cozy with Port Chester and Armonk. How could we not cover here?
Will we consider other areas, like Ulster, Sullivan, and maybe the NYC boroughs? We will. Moreover, if you’re reading this and are unclear if we would consider your area, just ask us. Even if we don’t, we can refer you to a trusted colleague who does.
